Calyx Sale

Thanks to all who came out to see me at the Calyx Show yesterday.  It was a fantastic day, lots of amazing artwork of all kinds, as usual!  I was happy with my sales, and it is always great to get out there and get some input from people as to what they are looking for in jewellery.  Here are pictures of some of the pieces I made with etched metal and polymer, all sold.  I am in the process of listing some jewellery on etsy, so you can check that out.  And if you saw something at the show and would like a different colour, size, give me a shout at susanwhitestudio@shaw.ca

Those are fabulous Susan! I haven't done a lot of mixed media with clay (apart from using my clay beads in my jewellery making) but I'll be trying Christi Friesen's class in Red Deer this summer. While I'm not big on sculpture, I hear she's a fabulous teacher and she certainly does a lot of mixed media.

Your work is exquisite!! It was nice to see your work featured on Polymer Clay Daily! I have only worked a little with filigree and polymer clay...riveting is something that I would love to learn. 8)

Thanks everyone for your kind comments. Re the riveting: Patricia Kimmle's book "Perfectly Paired" is a really worthwhile read for her techniques of attaching polymer clay to metal, including rivets.
